Argentina’s position to make Barca threatened Lost Messi and Mascherano
Barcelona will be adversely affected by the current position of the Argentine national team. The Catalans are likely to lose Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano against Sevilla in early November 2017.
Argentina is temporarily ranked fifth in the 2018 World Cup qualifying standings Conmebol zone (South America). If not moved from that position until the end of qualifying then Albiceleste must melakoni play-off to fight tickets to Russia.
FIFA as the international sporting parent, has set a schedule for the first game play-off. The match will take place on 6 November 2017.
Thus, the South American players whose country performs in the play-offs can not defend the club in the 11th week of La Liga on Sunday (5/11/2017). They are likely to miss, three of which are Barcelona players, Messi, Luis Suarez and Mascherano.
The FIFA regulation states that players must be called up for their national team four days before the match.
With the exception of the Brazilians who have secured themselves as group winners to next year’s finals, competition in the South American zone is still fierce. Uruguay, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay are six teams competing for three automatic tickets remaining and a chance to finish fifth.
